As previously noted, Tara McPherson's music posters tend to focus on an illustration of a close up female figure. According to her blog she also usually works traditionally, hens why I've used fine liners for the line art in this piece. Will update this post with iterations as I go.

I then created a simple border in Illustrator to tie the overall image together, using a gritty dark red and khaki/green colour palette. I've decided this will be a tour poster, with the band logo and tour title as the header at the top and tour dates surrounding the girl.
